Hi, I’m Grace

My adventure with food begins at birth growing up in my godmother’s restaurant in New Orleans, Louisiana. The smells of gumbo and bread pudding in sync with the sounds of jazz drowning the streets of St. Charles encompasses the essence of my cooking. Grace is a first generation Honduran-American who loves cooking baleadas and pickling curtido. After Hurricane Katrina, my family moved to Lafayette, Louisiana, where I learned about Cajun staples like boudin and catfish courtbouillon. Graduating with a degree in political science, I eventually decided that cooking was my true calling. I currently live in Austin, Texas, where I have worked in Italian, Mexican, and American kitchens. Besides kitchens I have dedicated my free time to creating cooking videos that have landed recipe features on sites such as The Kitchn and Tastemade.
